Springborg avoiding Howard

Springborg declines invitation from John Howard to chat in Canberra, and instead heads to Warwick and Bundaberg.
Interesting that on the 29th (Monday) the Queensland Nationals website had the media release up announcing
Unanimous support to move towards united party in the vote taken “this afternoon” (same day).
It’s Friday now, and they’re yet to put up a release explaining how that merger fell apart.
Having done a government major, particularly spending a great deal of her research on Queensland premier’s and government, I can tell you my wife had some strong feelings about this particular news item.
